Grant was born on January 24, 2008 and Alex April 19, 2006. Jacqueline and I are both very proud parents and our boys are the light of our lives. Alex is talking more and more every day, and he is pretty much non stop. He's a very happy kid and always has a smile on his face. Grant is just now starting to roll and is close to sitting up. He's been an easy going baby so far. I'd say Alex has more of Jacqueline's personality at this point while Grant seems more like mine. Time will tell though as we thought Alex was laid back. That's it for now but thought I'd add another post to the blog to help get it started.

Looks like we have "lift-off" on the McLendonjournalblog and that's great.
I hope everyone who can, will add bit and pieces.
Things like family events and happenings, visits to various places around the nation and the world, photos, events of any kind regarding the extended McLendon Family.
Any thoughts from anyone regarding the NEXT McLendon Reunion will be appreciated - a few of us are already thinking about it and a target date will be either 2009 or 2010. We will try to have it at a different location, but probably keep it in south Georgia.
Til next time,
Jim
Hi John! Great photo!! Thanks for posting to the new blog. I'm excited just to be able to have an idea of how everyone is doing and what they're up to. Take care and say hello to Jacqueline. Til soon!
Hey Everybody - isn't this just great! Thanks to you Andrew for your time and talent and to Jim for being such a good assistant.
I'll get some stuff ready to send ya'll.
All the "Aunt Marie Clan" are well and sassy and amazed that the summer is passing so quickly - is that a sign of aging?
Aunt Lila had a quick little visit to the hospital this past weekend to take care of a valve/duct problem with her liver, but she is at home resting now. Those Mclendon genes are tough - let's all hope we inherited a bunch of them. Aunt Lila would love any calls. 229.388.8670 is her phone.
Recent bit of news and we are so proud - Kevin, Kathy's son, begins his teaching and coaching career at Bulloch Academy in a few days. He has been on the coaching staff while attending classes at Georgia Southern. Coach Kevin - can you believe it.
I'm collecting some things to put on the site - lets get some pictures going. Love and a hug to you all. If you pass through Atlanta and don't call me, I'll haunt you forever! I'm in the book. MJB
